Meet Me
My name is Mada. My unusual name, which I love, is pronounced like Madagascar. It's the easiest way to pronounce it, I guarantee you will remember it!!
I often get asked why I do what I do. The passion and reason behind what I do is that I absolutely love capturing memories. As a child, I was born and raised in Bucharest. It was a simple life where experiences and connections were what we valued the most, and this have made me the person I am today. My family didn't have a camera to capture memories, we just have the stories to tell. I can honestly say that is one regret I deeply feel is not having baby photos of family or myself. I have a hand full of black and white images from my grandparent's golden anniversary, and I was 18 months old. For this reason alone, I became quite obsessed with capturing moments of my two children and my family.
A few things you might like to know about me...
Obsessed with black and white photography. I don't always express myself in words, but my pictures say it all. Traveling is my favourite thing in the world and I have been to so many amazing places. By the age of 31, I had lived in three different countries - born and raised in Bucharest Romania for 18 years, UK for 13 years, and Australia is my home now for the last 15 years. I love people, I connect and I care deeply for others and this has been a spiritual journey of serving others be working as a support worker as-well - traveling has gifted me with this too.
